ADDITIONAL CONTEST RULES OF THE ROOFX, UGLY ROOF CONTEST ON 93.3 WBZD
All Backyard Broadcasting of Pennsylvania’s official contest rules apply unless otherwise noted below:
93.3 WBZD in conjunction with ROOFX of Williamsport, will award to one entrant a new roof as outlined in these additional rules:
Contest begins Monday, April 1st, 2024 and ends with winner being determined on Friday, June 21st, 2024 at approximately 10am. All entries must be received by the end of the day Wednesday, June 19th. This is a 21 and Older Contest. The winner will be determined by the judgement of the judges which will be a ROOFX associate(s) and members of the Backyard Broadcasting Staff. The awarded winner will receive the removal of their old roofing material and the installation of a new asphalt shingle replacement and associated materials of their roof, up to 1500 sq. ft. of surface area or a value not to exceed $10,000.00 US dollars monetary value. This replacement does not include replacement of any actual weather damaged roof decking (example, plywood underlayment) that is determined to need replacement, or any weather damaged structural roof truss or bracing material. The included items are: The roof Asphalt shingles, flashing, trim and determined moisture barrier and materials to apply the new roof. The roofing contractor is ROOFX, 2121 Maryland Ave, Williamsport, PA. Winner must schedule and have installed this prize prior to September 30th, 2024.
1. ELIGIBILITY. This Sweepstakes is open only to individuals who (i) are legal U.S. residents of the state of Pennsylvania (ii) who are 21 years of age or older at the time of entry (“Entrant”). This prize is not transferable and must be redeemed by the actual owner of the property and house, garage or structure submitted (roof) that was submitted for entry into this contest.
2. TIMING: Sweepstakes begins on Monday April 1st, 2024 at 6:00:00 a.m. ET and ends at 5pm, ET on Wednesday, June19th (cut off day and time to submit your entry), with judging to be completed on Thursday, June 20th, with the Winner announced live on air, Friday, June 21st, 2024, at Approximately 10, am ET.
3. HOW TO ENTER: You can enter only one way as follows:
You must take at least one clear, bright digital photograph displaying a whole house or garage or structure view of your “Ugly Roof” and submit the photo or photos with your name, address, and phone number to the following email address: [email protected] on or before Wednesday, June 19th, 2024, by 5:00pm ET time.
4. Winner will be selected from all eligible entries received prior to the posted deadline. Judges will determine who has the ugliest roof. Judges will be representatives of ROOFX and Backyard Broadcasting. The selection will be subjective and the collective opinion of the judges will determine the winner and that judgement will be final.
It is understood that by entering this contest that you give permission for a representative of ROOFX to contact you in the event you are not awarded the grand prize.
By entering this contest, you are granting Backyard Broadcasting the permission to post submitted picture(s) of your roof during the duration of the contest on WBZD website and social media accounts, including a post promotion period.
This prize is not redeemable for cash and must be accepted as outlined.
There will be no monetary reimbursement if chosen roof has a value less than $10,000.00 US dollars, but also cannot exceed $10,000.00 US dollars in value. A winner has the option to pay the difference if chosen roof or structural repairs will exceed the prize limit value upon inspection and estimate provided by ROOFX. If winner chooses not to have roof installed, prize will be forfeited with no compensation in return.
On Friday, June 21st, 2020 the Grand Prize will be announced on air at approximately 10:00am ET.
By participating, you agree (a) to be bound by these Official Sweepstakes Rules; (b) as between you and the Sponsor, that the decisions of the Sponsor is final on all matters relating to the Sweepstakes; (c) you are not participating on behalf of any employer or third party; (d) in the event that you do not comply with these Rules, that you will be disqualified and your prize (if any) will be forfeited; and (e) (when applicable) the potential winner and/or finalist must be available to participate in any portion to the Sweepstakes that participation may be required to be considered eligible.
Winner Notification: Winner via phone number, and/or at Sponsor’s discretion via phone at the phone number provided during registration. In the event the Winner doesn’t respond to Sponsor’s notification or does not accept the prize within (30) days of notification, the prize will be deemed forfeited and an alternate Winner may be selected. In the event that any one or more potential Winner(s) fails to respond as stated above, declines the prize or fails to provide signed affidavits or releases, such Winner(s) will be deemed to forfeit the prize and Sponsor may select an alternate Winner(s) from the remaining eligible entrants. If any alternate(s) similarly fails to respond or declines the prize, Sponsor will use a reasonable number of attempts, in its discretion, to award the prize(s) to another alternate(s) but if it is unable to do so, the prize(s) will be finally forfeited and Sponsor shall have no further liability in connection with this Sweepstakes. The Sponsor is not responsible for any change of telephone number of entrants. The Sweepstakes Entities are not responsible for and shall not be liable for late, misdirected or unsuccessful efforts to notify a finalist and/or potential winner(s).
As a condition of participating in the Sweepstakes, entrants agree and acknowledge that in order to receive a prize and be deemed a winner, entrants must sign an official waiver form provided by the Sponsor and agree to the terms herein, including but not limited to the prize conditions. The potential prize winner may (in Sponsor’s sole discretion) be required to sign and return a declaration of eligibility and any other form necessary to verify eligibility, along with the required releases within twenty-four hours after the first delivery attempt to entrant’s e-mail address in order for the potential prize winner to be qualified for the prize, unless otherwise stated herein or at the time of notification. The potential prize winner’s failure to return all required forms within this time period may result in the potential winner being disqualified and, in such event, the Sponsor may randomly select an alternate winner from among all remaining eligible entries, as determined by Sponsor in its sole and discretion.
