WILDFIRE CONCERNS ACROSS NORTH CENTRAL PA
Concerns about the risk of wildfires have brought about a call for all of the residents of Central PA to be sure to comply with any issued burn bans and take additional precautions to prevent accidental fires. According to the USN Gazette, the Clinton County Emergency Management Coordinator Scott Kemmerer says they closely consider the state fire forecast from PEMA and DCNR and work in conjunction with the National Weather Service when they issue warnings and with the exceptionally dry conditions coupled with wind concerns can help fire spread quickly. Residents are asked to be mindful to not burn debris or trash outdoors, to properly dispose of cigarettes, keep vehicles off dry grass and to report any unattended fire asap.
